Waiver Wire Targets:
Isaac Guerendo (Rostered in 1.3% of ESPN leagues) Genius Pick of the Week
Isaac Guerendo is probably going to be the number one pick this week as both Christian McCafftrey and Jordan Mason are headed to IR for at least the next 4 weeks. With those two out of the picture, Guerendo becomes the instant starter in an offense that has proven itself to be effective with the run. Guerendo is a must add.
Adam Thielen (Rostered in 27.3% of ESPN leagues)
Man oh man, the “old” guy was balling out against the Bucs. Along with a few highlight catches, Thielen brought in 8 of 10 targets for 99 yards and a touchdown. That was good for 23.9 fantasy points. He should have had one more touchdown but the refs chose violence for some reason. The Panthers are surging and Thielen is a reliable target for Bryce Young. If you pick him up this week, be careful of a tough Eagles matchup but he is worth rostering for the rest of the season. With that being said…
Xavier Legette (Rostered in 35.9% of ESPN leagues)
Legette is the other Panthers receiver I like for the rest of the season. While he didn’t have the explosive eye popping day Thielen had, Legette is consistently involved with the offense and could see his usage increase as the Panthers try to get more young guys involved now that their season is all but over. Legette saw 8 targets in the loss to the Bucs and turned that into 4 catches for 53 yards. Legette is more of a flex play if needed in deeper leagues.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (Rostered in 19.9% of ESPN leagues)
This guy is a touchdown monster and is widely available because of the unknown name and that he plays for the Titans. Westbrook-Ikhine is clearly a top target for Levis, especially in the red zone. The man has 8 touchdowns in 8 weeks for crying out loud. Touchdown regression is due but you might as well ride the hot hand until proven otherwise.
Elijah Moore (Rostered in 13.4% of ESPN leagues)
A couple weeks back I highlighted Moore as a pure PPR dependent flex play. Last night against the Broncos he saw a whopping 14 targets. The Browns are hell bent on slinging the rock and someone has to catch it. Moore probably won’t see 14 targets every week but the possibility is there. If you feel like rolling the dice, Moore is your guy.
Will Dissley (Rostered in 32.6% of ESPN leagues)
It’s that time of year where the tight-end landscape is more barren than it already was. Unless you have one of the top 8ish guys, you are more than likely looking at streaming options every week. Dissley had a rough outing against the Falcons that could make a lot of managers overlook him on waivers this week. Prior to Sunday’s game, Dissley had seen 8+ fantasy points in 5 of his last 6 games including 2 double digit outings. The Chiefs are one of the more fantasy friendly teams to opposing tight ends which makes Dissley a viable option in week 14.
Will Levis (Rostered in 4.8% of ESPN leagues)
Will Levis is still in the same spot for me as he was last week. He is serviceable and could get you through a lean week. He now has 4 weeks in a row with 15+ fantasy points. The Titans also have one of the easiest schedules for the remainder of the season as they will face the Bengals, Colts, Jaguars x2 and Texans. I think Levis can provide startable value this week against a terrible Jaguars team and beyond especially with a lot of BYE weeks in week 14. He is at least worth an add as a backup option if you already have an established starter.
Caleb Williams (Rostered in 37% of ESPN leagues)
Atrocious play at the end against the Lions aside, Caleb Williams has been balling out these past few weeks. Part of that seems to be tied to the firing of their OC a few weeks back. Now the head coach is out. On the season, the Bears are 9th in average pass attempts. In their last 3 games, they are 6th. If the Bears continue to air it out and Williams keeps making smart choices with the ball, Williams has startable potential this week against a 49ers team that is falling apart.
Russell Wilson (Rostered in 43.1% of ESPN leagues)
Mr. Unlimited was feeling dangeruss this weekend going off against the Bengals for 414 yards and 3 touchdowns and out dueling Joe Brrr. While he doesn’t always throw the most, Wilson does have an explosive wide receiver in George Pickens and a decent ground game to open up some passing lanes. I would feel comfortable starting him this week against the Browns who just allowed a decent amount of points to the Broncos (A few TDs were defensive). It may be a tougher sell the rest of the way though with matchups against the Eagles, Ravens and Chiefs.
