- Josh Allen
Until proven otherwise Josh Allen is going to be my number 1 fantasy QB. It is hard to find a team where one guy is tasked with so much offensively. You look at his offensive weapons last year and outside of James Cook there was so much to be desired yet he still delivered. That’s coming from a guy that likes Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid, however, those guys just don’t have the wow factor you see in other offenses. That’s not even considering potential bust Keon Coleman. With all that being said, Josh Allen is nothing short of a dominant NFL player. Able to air it out and make massive plays with his legs, he is what every fantasy player looks for in their QB. If it’s not, maybe look deep within yourself and consider where you went wrong. This offseason the Bills bolstered their wide receiver room by trading for DJ Moore for pennies on the dollar. Moore never quite found his fit in Chicago but I like his upside with Allen and he is now reunited with Joe Brady from his days in Carolina. Allen is firmly my QB 1.
- Drake Maye
Say what you want about the Patriots season last year. I’ve heard plenty about the teams they faced and the tragedy of Bo Nix’s injury. They still made the Super Bowl for crying out loud. And with that, I’m trying to not overthink my placement of Drake Maye here. I genuinely don’t think they repeat a Super Bowl appearance but they should still be a great team. The addition of AJ Brown is a big upgrade over Stefon Diggs and Romeo Doubs is an under the radar acquisition from a football perspective. I think Maye is able to repeat last year’s performance in a big way. An interesting stat I recently found is that Maye had the highest QBR and passing completion percentage (72%) in the NFL last year. He also had the 4th most rushing yards which is fantastic for fantasy. I think he is the real deal not just for fantasy but the actual game of football. It just sucks he is a Patriot.
- Joe Burrow
I’m feeling pretty bullish on Joe Burrow AKA Joe Shiesty AKA Joe Brrr. It is hard to ignore the offensive weapons on this Bengals roster. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are without a doubt the best wide receiver duo in the NFL. I won’t bet against that and neither should you. Zac Taylor also runs a pass happy offense. The obvious critiques are Burrow’s health and the slow start to the season the Bengals often deal with. However, when he is healthy, there are few better QBs than Burrow for fantasy. On top of that, this feels like a make or break kind of year for the Bengals, especially with the big trade for Dexter Lawrence. I’m betting on the stellar offensive weapons and the fire that is under this team’s ass to propel Burrow’s fantasy potential.
- Trevor Lawrence
After years of being out on Trevor Lawrence, I’m all in. Since the hiring of Liam Coen, the Jaguars have quietly assembled one of the better offenses in the NFL and the options for Lawrence to throw to feel endless. Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter and Parker Washington provide a solid wide receiver core and that’s not even mentioning Jakobi Meyers and tight end Brenton Strange who add even more depth. Last year Lawrence finished with the 6th most passing yards (4007), the 5th most passing touchdowns (29) and the 3rd most rushing touchdowns (9). In year 2 of Coen’s offense, I think Lawrence and this group take a step forward. Another big plus is that I’ve seen Lawrence go later in drafts than some of the guys on this list allowing you to load up on weapons and still get a top 10 fantasy QB. For reference, Lawrence is currently the 12th QB of the board according to ESPN ADP behind guys like Caleb Williams, Bo Nix and Dak Prescott.
- Justin Herbert
I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “Why is Justin Herbert in the top 5? This guy hasn’t even won a playoff game.” Well a couple of reasons. The first being that I love the new addition of Mike McDaniel as offensive coordinator. I think he is back in a role where he can focus on the play calling and worry less about culture and holding people accountable. This offense has talent and McDaniel can certainly amplify that. Second, the talent. Omarion Hampton, Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and Orande Gadsden are excellent weapons for Herbert. In the same breath you can’t forget the addition of David Njoku and Charlie Kolar who should both be able to provide some impact. Also, shoutout the Kimani Vidal truthers out there. The streets haven’t forgotten you. Lastly, a hot girlfriend equals increased performance. I’m still working out that data but I think there is something to it. If Herbert and the Chargers win the SuperBowl then Madison Beer needs her statue outside the stadium.
- Dak Prescott
I’ve never been a Cowboy’s fan and I think the “America’s team” antics are a bit dated and laughable at this point. I do love me some Dak Prescott though. Since entering the league back in 2016 he has been one of the league’s better talents, especially as a 4th round pick. The Cowboys offense is one of the better ones in the NFL. CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens form one of the top wide receiver duos. Toss in a decent run game and tight end Jake Ferguson and the recipe for success is there. Unless you have a Cowboy fan at your draft, it is likely you can sit and wait a bit to draft Prescott. It’s hard to turn down that kind of value.
- Bo Nix
Bo Nix is your grandfather’s favorite player for his “high football IQ”, “sneaky athleticism” and “locker room presence”. All jokes aside, Nix has shown to be a more than capable NFL QB. The QB 7 for PPR last year, I think Nix finishes in about the same spot for a couple of reasons. Sean Payton’s offense had him lead the league in passing attempts last year (612), finished with the 8th most passing yards (3931) and tied for the 9th most passing touchdowns (25). Even with the addition of Jaylen Waddle I find it hard to imagine a higher ceiling for Nix, especially if they can continue to lean on their staunch defense. I still would love him on my team and am more than happy to snag him later in drafts as my starter.
- Matthew Stafford
Matthew Stafford was one of my favorite parts about last season. The reigning MVP coupled with the wombo combo of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams made the Rams must watch TV. I honestly believe there will be some regression from Stafford as he is currently 38 and had an unusually healthy season but that could just be me being jaded. There could easily be a scenario where he ends up in the QB 4 or 5 range. He did have the 3rd highest pass attempts (597) and led the league in touchdowns by a mile (46) last season.
- Jalen Hurts
At this point you should know what you are getting with Jalen Hurts. A QB that is comfortable airing out the football as well as punishing defenses with his legs. A tush push master (pause). For all the hate he gets, for no reason I might add, he is an incredible talent and a great fantasy QB. Of course Barkley will vulture touchdowns from Hurts and vice versa. Of course AJ Brown is gone. Of course they have a new OC for what might be every year since Hurts has been an Eagle. But guess what? This guy continues to persevere and produce for fantasy managers no matter what. I’m excited for what the Eagles are putting together. Eli Stowers and Makai Lemon are nice additions and it sounds like AJ Brown was a locker room issue anyways. I feel comfortable putting Hurts here at 9 for those reasons. Depending on who you draft with, you may even be able to get him for cheap in the later rounds.
- Lamar Jackson
I will be one hundred percent honest in that I had a hard time placing Lamar Jackson in my top 10 list. I had him higher at times and even off this list initially. Obviously he is one of the best if not THE best dual threat QB for fantasy. His ability to make plays out of nowhere is second to none in the NFL and is something I value when making these lists. However, for me personally, I have some doubts about this offense in 2026 that keeps him out of my top 5. Most notably the firing of legendary coach John Harbaugh this offseason and the hiring of Jesse Minter who spent time with the Ravens defensive staff before serving as the Chargers defensive coordinator. I’m not saying Minter will be bad offensively, just that it is worth keeping in mind that he has made his living on the defensive side of the ball. Secondly, the Ravens don’t have a deep offense. While Derrick Henry should still do his thing, outside of Zay Flowers, the offensive weapons are lacking and there is a shortage of depth at key positions. An injury or two could seriously derail this offense.The Ravens did bring in Ja’Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarrett via the draft but they are still unproven options at the NFL level. Isaiah Likely is also gone as well as their star center, Tyler Linderbaum which I think is a huge deal that people are overlooking. All that being said, it’s still not enough to drop him out of my top 10 due to his elite dual threat ability but I’m not drafting him early like I have done in years past.
Guys I like:
Brock Purdy
Just missing out on my top 10 list, Brock Purdy is a guy I find myself gravitating to in drafts. Not always the sexiest pick but one that definitely has top 10 fantasy QB potential. Purdy had a tumultuous 2025 campaign as he only played in 9 games last year and the dark cloud that was Brandon Aiyuk felt like it never left. I’m not in love with his passing options in Ricky Pearsall (who is now out for the year) and a rehabbing George Kittle who suffered an Achilles injury during a wild-card playoff win against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the 49ers did sign Christian Kirk, future Hall of Fame wide receiver Mike Evans, and drafted an interesting prospect, De’Zhaun Stribling, which does bolster the group a bit.
Jared Goff
If Purdy isn’t the sexiest pick then Jared Goff is downright ugly. He will be one of the most accurate QBs on the planet and then throw 10 picks in an important game. Every year though, I find excellent value in Goff for fantasy. You might find it hard to believe but he has been a top 10 QB in the last 3 seasons. He may not have the rushing ability that some of my preferred options have but he throws the ball a lot. For reference he had the 4th most attempts last season (573). In my head he is not that different from Matthew Stafford. He has an elite receiving option in Amon-Ra St. Brown and he lives in a pass happy offense. You can’t forget the dual threat monster that is Jahmyr Gibbs either. Goff will be the same he has been in recent years. A fringe QB 1 with great upside that you can draft for fairly cheap.
Caleb Williams
Caleb Williams is another one of those guys that just missed my top 10 list. I’ve always been open and honest about my dislike for the Bears as an organization but every once in a while there are guys that break through my bias. Williams is kind of like that. Not necessarily because I think he is the best QB out there, but because he has an ability to make something out of nothing which can lead to some juicy fantasy points. There are some throws and scrambles that have left me standing in my living room with a bewildered look on my face both in a good and bad way but he has a multitude of weapons surrounding him. Rome Odunze, Luther Burden and Colsten Loveland are guys that are kind of unproven but should continue to improve as they progress through the early stages of their careers. Williams is also another one of those players that utilizes his legs to pick up extra points. Last season he had 388 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 77 attempts. I’d go as far to wager that he surpasses that rushing touchdown number in 2026. Williams finished as the QB 5 last year so the potential is there. I’ll just be interested if he can improve his accuracy and keep the interceptions to a minimum.
